Speaker: Nika Maples
When Nika was 20 years old, she survived a brainstem stroke that left her quadriplegic. But paralysis could not stop her from living with her whole heart, in spite of the circumstances. She was an English teacher for more than a decade, going on to be a speaker of hope after being named Texas Teacher of the Year. She is now an author and coach for authors. When she is not writing or speaking, she enjoys sharing nuggets of wisdom on her YouTube channel and spending time with her three nieces and one amazing nephew in Fort Worth, Texas.
